The Esplanade
The Esplanade Mall is located in Kenner, west of New Orleans, Louisiana, 5 minutes away from New Orleans Airport, just off I-10. The mall is owned by Simon Property Group and was built in 1985. It was renovated twice and it covers 900,000 square feet divided into 2 levels.
Anchors include Dillard's, Dillard's Men Store, and Macy's. Other major stores include Aéropostale, Old Navy, Finish Line, Bath & Body, American Eagle Outfitters, Bombay, Charlotte Russe, Gap, Ann Taylor Loft, The Children's Place, d.e.m.o., Nine West, Works, Body Shop, Hollister Co., Kay Jewelers, The Limited, PacSun, and Victoria's Secret. There are 12 eateries and restaurants in this mall, as well as a food court, with Café Du Monde, Chick-fil-A, Sbarro and Subway as most representative. During weekdays and on Saturday, the mall is open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. On Sunday it is open from noon to 6:00 p.m.
Families may appreciate the baby changing station, restrooms and stroller rental. Parking is free, but there are no valet parking services available. The mall is quite affordable, and has a nice balance between high-end retailers and outlet stores.
There is no cinema at this mall, but those who would like to visit the area, should see Chateau Golf and Country Club, Wentwood Park and Chateau du Jardin.
